ADELGAÇADO significa o desgaste na textura do verso do selo, geralmente pelo uso de técnica inadequada para descolá-lo do fragmento da correspondência onde ele foi afixado. Também conhecido como "aminci" provoca perda significativa no valor comercial da peça.

THINNING means the wear of the texture at the back of the stamp, usually by the use of inappropriate techniques for detachment of the stamp from the cover where it was gummed. Also known as "aminci" , it causes significant loss in market value of the piece.
